I seldom wear greens but I've always been drawn to this colour somehow, so I tried it on this special day. This was the day where at least 3/4 of Singapore was in the theatres watching The Avengers. Which was a great show by the way. Can't wait to watch it again!

On this beautiful Saturday, I not only dragged my colleague to MBS with me to check out the Titanic Exhibition, I made her take many pictures of me too! 8-P

First time here at the 'five fingers place'.

A long, long queue awaited us at the ticketing counter.

Can see the other 'ship' from here.

Picture time!

Yet another long, long queue to get into the exhibit.

Will we survive?

Me with my Boarding Pass. The actual cost of one back then was mind-boggling.

Hi Jack, Cal and Rose?

And we're off!

Photography was not allowed inside so that's it for now. Here's the look I wore that day.

See anything different about this picture?

Nooo not my misshapen nostril or my pores. Lower lah! Yes! They're colour block lips!
I've been getting kinda bored with doing more or less the same looks day in day out so I thought I'd give this a try. And I quite like it!

I kept the eyes simple and understated to bring out the bright lips (not that they needed much help there heh heh).

Hello!

I've been experimenting with mascaras lately. Or rather, I've been trying out 'lash-less' looks. I'm sure you've heard me going gaga over falsies before but somehow, I've recently gotten a little tired of them.
Maybe it's cos of the glue going gunky on me, maybe it's the tugging and pulling on my lids, maybe it's a variety of other reasons. Whatever it is, I have taken to going out of the house with full face makeup and 'no lashes'.
Anyways here are the stuff I used for this look:

- Rachel K Mineral Color Control Blemish Balm in Neutral
- Canmake Cover & Stretch Concealer in #01
- Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion (depotted)
- Canmake Concealer Foundation in 01
- Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner in Towne Car
- ZA Impact Lash Mascara (Volume) in 01 Real Black
- ZA Impact Lash Mascara (Long) in 01 Real Black
- Canmake Metallic Eyes in 09
- Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Shadow Pencil in Barracuda
- Kiss Me Heavy Rotation Perfect Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black
- Silkygirl Funky Eyelights Pencil in Frosty Silver
- NYX Cream Blush in Glow
- Canmake Powder Cheeks in PW24
- The Face Shop Color Nuance for Cheek in WH001
- Lavshuca Dramatic Memory Liquid Rouge in PK-1
I'm quite liking the Rachel K BB Cream with Canmake's powder, as the cream by itself does not give much coverage, which the powder provides. So they work quite well together. And the ZA Volume mascara holds curl very well! So well that it actually 'forced' my eyelid upwards to create a 'crease', giving it a double eyelid effect. The formula's a bit on the dry side but I don't mind it at all! Plus there was no flaking or smudging on my lower lids. Gonna grab me some more backups at the next Watson's sale =D
When looking at my eyes close-up, it looks kinda meh but once you zoom out, hey, actually still ok leh. I still has eyes yar? 8-P

However, so far I've only been doing this particular combi of charcoal/black/silver smoked out LOTD. Shall experiment somemore (with colours) and see how it goes. Wish me luck!

Today was a very fulfilling day where I accomplished quite a few things. They might seem to be very simple stuff but I was truly happy. Of course it helped that I was with great company =D
I decided to try out my Revlon Colorstay Foundation which had been sitting neglected in my foundie drawer for the longest time. Yes ok fine, I have A LOT of foundies sitting around neglected pffft. I will use them, I WILL ok! Aaanways, I used my fingers to smear it on and did not use any powder to set it. Coverage is superb and almost all of my blemishes were invisible by the time I was done. I also noticed that Nude is a little too dark for me but it's already the lightest shade available in Singapore.

However, it's not very obvious in pictures, I think.

It lasted very well throughout the day, as can be seen below (10 hours later). I ordered the Normal/Dry Skin version in Buff and am hoping that it'll be a good match. So hard to find accurate swatches online ugh.

If I remember correctly, this was the look that I wore to watch Wicked the Musical. Which, by the way, was rather disappointing. The story was not very engaging and the songs were not exactly catchy. I guess it's just not really my kinda musical.

When I think about how far away the next public holiday is gonna be, I can't help but sigh. Especially after the long and luxurious CNY break last month. Ah well...
So how did everyone spend those 4 days of holidays? Wanna know what I did?
I masked...

I got manicured (by Sophia)...

I ate...

...and ate...

I dressed up for day 1...

I dolled up, like REALLY dolled up, for day 2...

I curled my hair...

And tried a soft cut crease...

Here's a quick one. I basically used the same products from my previous LOTD except for the Giorgio Armani ETK. I used Khaki Pulse this time. I'll be using Gold Blitz in one of my next LOTDs yay!

Close-up:

Apologies if the colour's not turning out right. Will invest in a better camera soon.

Since Chinese New Year was around the corner, Amy, Kas and I decided to make a trip down to Chinatown to get a feel of the festivities.
I kinda had a notion of how crazy crowded and hot it would be so I dressed for the occasion in my ASOS one-shoulder dress. I used another one of my Giorgio Armani ETK shadows and my Illamasqua bronzer (which I got in August but had not used yet oops).

It was a busy day. In the afternoon, I attended my god-daughter's 1st birthday. Happy Birthday Renee Joy!

Then we trooped down to Chinatown Complex Food Centre and waited...and waited...and waited...and finally ate dinner.

Took some touristy shots of the bustling streets.

This picture is so classic. The 'Cai Shen Ye' looked so extremely fed-up and grumpy, yet he obligingly took photos with the many passers-by.

We ended the evening on a sweet note with a chocolate fondue.

Hope everyone had a great Lunar New Year!
