Now, if anyone's offended by my title, don't be. I mean, c'mon, let's be honest. If it's possible to get something similar at a cheaper price, why not right? After all, everyone loves a good bargain yes? Maybe except for those who are literally rolling around in money and don't know where to spend it, of course. Don't get me started on THOSE people...*grumble yupI'mjuzjealous grumble* Even then, some of them actually enjoy bagging bargains way MORE than normal *coughpoorcough* people, ya-know-wat-I-mean?
And also, I'm not implyng that cheap is always better. Sometimes, you get what you paid for and there IS a difference in paying more for something from the higher end of the spectrum. What I'm trying to say (I think) is that as long as we spend within our means, we can all be happy. Ok I am so full of crap 8-P
So how much would you pay for a nail polish? I guess that would depend on your budget, the hype and desire, amongst many other factors.
Recently, there has been a spate of comparisons between Chanel's Peridot and Sephora's Diving in Malaysia. Here's my own little experimental swatch fest (3 coats each).
Right off the bat, it's quite obvious that the two are different, yet similar in terms of finish. Both are shimmery and can apply a little streaky. There's also an interesting duo-chromey effect.
The blue-ish green duo-tone is barely discernible in this picture but it's there.
The picture below further illustrates the disparity in shades between the 2 polishes.
So...which one would you purchase?
