Quite some time ago, I happened to express my curiosity about the new Clinique Age Defence BB Cream and...
...Sophia sent me these to try out!
Although I'm a frequent BB cream user (in the sense that I slap it on every single day), I've only ever used the Etude House Precious Minerals BB Cream in #2 Sheer Glowing Skin. I finally managed to finish my first tube recently, so I was, in a way, 'free' to venture into other brands of BB creams.
If you'd like to read up more about BB creams in general, click here. BB creams always claim to do alot of wondrous things, but I always wonder if it's all really true...

First up, we have the Clinique Age Defence BB Cream. It looked quite dark to me, almost mauvey (compared to what I'm used to) but after I applied it, it sorta 'self-adjusted' and matched my skin tone. I believe I was wearing it when I did this look. Texture wise, it felt rather thick and took a little bit of effort to spread it onto my skin. It smelled kinda powdery, though not unpleasantly so. As for coverage, despite being dense, it did not provide full coverage and a separate concealer was required to hide my pimple scars and sun spots. Also, it's probably not suitable for me due to my skin type, which tends to be dry.
Please read Sophia's more comprehensive review here.

Next, we have the Rachel K Mineral Color Control Blemish Balm. In contrast to the former, it looked very light and had an almost citrusy smell. It was easy to spread but again, coverage was average. It lasted quite well throughout the day and I would probably purchase it and the pressed powder to try out together.

I haven't had the chance to try the Bobbi Brown one yet but I'll get down to it soon! Apologies for the amateurish review. Still learning! :)

I think I prefer the Rachel K one [and best used together with the powder!]
